The Life Wave (KYMA zois in Greek) is a mental health counseling center in Paleo Faliro offering personal, couples and group counseling, organizing seminars, psych-training and self-development groups. Also, specialized therapeutic methods are offered, such as Family & Business Constellation, Therapeutic Regression, Holding Therapy and Clinical Hypnosis. Always with care and adhering to the H.C.A. ethics rules.
Our logo is the work of the Polish painter Anna Ewa Miarczyńska with the title "The Return Wave", who had the kindness of allowing us to use it as identity representation as soon as we presented our vision to her.
Angelos Ioakeimidis
Mental Health & Soft Skills Counselor
Angelos Ioakeimidis (Angello Gabriel Ioakimides) started out with a degree in computational physics from the University of Kent in the United Kingdom, while for most of his life he has worked in the information technology sector in Athens-Greece and Prague=Czech Republic, for multinational corporations such as IBM, Lenovo, Oracle etc.
His work positions were mostly technical, sales and managerial or combinations of those. Through Oracle he was fortunate enough to obtain another degree in sales practices from the Dublin Institute of Technology, an event that ignited his interest in Applied Psychology.
Through the whole of his career, he has had training in the fields of sales techniques, mental re-training, communications, management and self-management. Lately he developed and dispenses a condensed set of practical seminars with soft skills content, such as presentation skills, time and stress management, prioritization, relationship development and management, objection handling and sales, either through presentations or in personal sessions.
At age 43, he finished a three-year course in Mental Health Counseling at the Center of Applied Counseling and Psychotherapy, complementing his knowledge and skills but mostly opening wider horizons for himself. He currently collaborates closely with volunteer organizations such as SynYparxi and Knowl, because he believes that we all need someone to lean on, since we did not arrive in this world with a “User's manual”.
Sofia Katirtzoglou
Mental Health Counsellor
Sofia is a law school graduate of the Demokrition University of Thrace, with postgraduate studies in Marine Law at the University of Southampton. She has worked for 25 consecutive years as legal counsel for shipping companies.
In 2014 she decided to engage in the mental health sector after having completed herself cycles of personal therapy and thus verified that therapy is a most valuable tool for self-realization and self-development. For this purpose, she has chosen to train as much in the classical means of therapy, as well as the more alternative ones. The thought was that a holistic approach to this sensitive area is necessary, in order to meet the needs of people with different standings, tendencies and world theories.
